Just played my first game on Anniversary.
And it sucked.
Gameplay was awesome, for the first 30 seconds.
Then, in the course of the next 2 minutes, 5 people on the other team quit and 3 on ours quit.
We also had 2 afk players.
343, please, make a bigger punishment for quitting (But not lagging out). I really wanted a great experience, and It felt pretty bored playing a 3v3 on Headlong…BTB. Sure, we won and I got an ok score, but still…A lot of quitting and lagging before it settled with 3 minutes left and I gained most of my kills.
Also, another question.
I’m from Hong Kong, and the Halo: CEA version is the 'English and Chinese’version, meaning that If I chose the chinese version for my Xbox 360, I would have chinese dubs and subs.
But who makes them? Is it some kind of microsoft in HK thing, or an exterior company getting paid?
Just curious.
The quit ban definitley needs to be made more severe.
But there is no way to tell if you disconnected from quitting or lagging out.
This is a Reach issue…surely it should be in the Reach section?
Agreed. Quitting makes games boring and just not fun.
I don’t think it needs that much punishment, other games don’t have it for a reason.
> I don’t think it needs that much punishment, other games don’t have it for a reason.
What’s the reason?
Dude, if I’m playing and there is major latency (enemies ‘eating’ bullets, getting 3 shotted) and there is no host migration to a host I ping better off within a few minutes…I’m gone.
This happens alot in REACH due to low player pop, which means its harder to get latency free games.

The ban is freaking stupid? You betray someone by accident and immediately your kicked, and then banned? Why!?

Yes, but when the lag is caused because of massive quitting (Each good host is leaving) you should just stay in the game. No reason to quit.
Agree and disagree. I believe the punishment for “purposefully” quitting games to be a tad more severe to a point that they wouldnt want to quit. Yet, I believe players that are “going down with the ship” so to speak should be rewarded for playing it out, even though they typically lose (greater reward for winning of course, props to you). I know that they award jackpots for those who routinely finish their games, but I never really notice them. I’m talking about an instant reward, esp in said games. This way that little incentive could help prevent some of the issues.
Though, I do have to disagree that a ban would have to used sparingly due to the low pop online. Lag plays a role also. Just figure out good punishment/reward ratio that works for everybody and is noticeable.

If ur lagged out then you are put into another game (kinda) and that game ends due to know one else being there. So you can lag out all you want and never get banned for it. (Just don’t make it a habbit) But if ur disconnected from live, then it will count)
So lagging out is not too much of a problem but I agree otherwise.
Quitters should be barred from MM for at least 24 hrs at first, then 48, then a week, then a month.
Along with Credit loss and a potential de rank.
Maybe a very low daily credit cap of 10k Cr. lol
Or how bout a playlist restriction.
Or an armory reset!
lol im having to much fun thinking of punishment.

You were kicked once, and you got banned.
And what about the other times in which you left the game?
The ban needs to be reinforced with credit LOSS. I wish it was like Halo 3 where your rank would go down - much less quitting. Just played another game. Had perfect internet connection until 4 people on m team quit out.
