I’m having an increasingly frustrating problem regarding quitting, specifically other people on MY team, leaving early. It’s causing an overwhelming lopsidedness to my games. And it usually has a bit of a domino effect, meaning one person quits, the team starts doing worse than it was before, then they decide to quit. Often i’m left the only one left on the team,
Now, due to the banhammer being strong, and because I usually like my rank, I choose not to quit myself most of the time. But that being said, when i quit, i’ll find my rank went down and that because i (obviously) lost, it counted against me.
The problem I have with this is, the match was uneven. 3 on 4, 2 on 4, for the majority of the match, and because I choose to stick around rather than quit and get banned, my rank goes down.
I think they should start to implement some sort of system where quitting on either team negates the win or loss for both teams. I feel like that might encourage a few more people to stick around, even though they take a loss regardless.
Call me petty, I just don’t appreciate other people causing me to have a bad time just because they’re quitters.

It would be nice to not have another loss tacked onto my record because my team bailed on me, but I can’t see it being implemented into the game because people would exploit it.
As most people will tell you, the best way to avoid having your teammates quit is to form a team. Get some friends to team up with you, people who you know that you can depend on. It’s much easier said than done, I know, since everyone has their own agenda and limited time to be online. But having a good team makes Halo (and any team game) a lot funner. Maybe you could look into joining a Spartan Company?
Agreed my friend and I had this a lot awhile back and we have been left just by ourselves as either somebody quits or lags out and then the 2nd guy follows them as they either friends with them or decided to leave in case of losing. We have quit in our own time not together but only once in a blue moon and I done it via warzone I hate it but if I had gotten a banhammer then I would of deserved it same with my friend but hope it gets nailed down and encourages people not to quit but even so perhaps everyone needs to try a different way to handle a bad game and that is something I am doing as hate quitting to the core but rarely done it but not proud, and yes they should not impact your rank if it is legit and was not your choice but depends how it is implemented as teams could abuse it depending on if the banhammer gets more tougher so lets hope the community can push forward to a better way !

There will never be anything to make kids not quit. And half the time it’s me “quitting” but really 343 decided my connection was poor and really i just got booted. So don’t always assume they quit every time I play I’m kicked from a few games and I’m on fiber optic with super fast speeds so my internet is not the problem. If you have a problem with “quitters” take it up with 343 cause most of the time I assume they were booted not quit with how much I’m kicked
My idea for a solution is this: if you quit, the game immediately goes on your record as a loss, even if your team wins after you leave, and you of course don’t get the REQ points or EXP. If you are the guy who sticks around, the game will not go on your record, but you still receive the REQ points and EXP.
