Quitters

I absolutely love this game. I’ve been playing it way more than I should be. The one thing that absolutely ruins it for me though is the quitters. I seriously can’t finish a game without someone quitting. It almost always results in my team losing. Even when the other team quits it ruins the game. Is anything going to happen to address this issue? Obviously what’s in place now isn’t working. I still love this game though and will continue to play it.

Quitting is the new playing. Everybody seems to think that fixing the ranking system will fix quitting. Adding social play lists will fix quitting. Implementing harsher penalties will fix quitting. Adding btb, forge, infection, and _____ (fill in blank with any unavailable-at-launch game feature) will fix quitting. All these people are wrong. I don’t know what the answer is, but I do know that it isn’t any one single thing, and it probably isn’t any of the things listed above. Although I suspect a more understandable and transparent ranking system would go some way to curbing the problem. Who knows?

I don’t know what the answer is, but it’s bumming me out. I report every person who quits because they’re ruining the game.

I’d love to see a mercy rule be added to those long BTB games where 3/4 of the enemy team quits out and the remainder hide for 10 minutes. It could really help end those games quicker.

Since I’ve posted this I’ve played 5 games. 4 out of those 5 games people have quit. Half my team just left me. My rank drops. The ranks show nothing since they can drop if your team has half the players the other one does.

I do the same, even if they’re on the other team, and we win just so hopefully I won’t get matched with them. Either way it typically results in an unfair advantage. Especially when it ends up 4 on 2. On occasion 4 on 2 ends up being a good thing. It made a swat match on Plaza last forever because it turned into a game of hide and seek. I ran around the map for like 2 minutes unable to find those 2. They actually did a good job of catching up by hiding in a room, because as soon as you manage to find 1 of them the other would shoot you in the back.
