I think a lot of player quit before the game starts because they don’t like the map or game mode, so quit leaving the team a player down before the game even starts.
Why not allow players to quit before the game start hold the count down while another player joins!?
This would mean a player can enjoy the games they like and the other player get a full team from the start.
As for quitting mid-match… simple remove the “LEAVE GAME” option after all most of those play WANT to be there and WANT to win !?
So basically move the “LEAVE GAME” option for in the game to before the game, maybe limit the amount of time to say one in five or the ban hammer may come out ?
Who would your rather like as a team mate? Some one who doesn’t like the map/mode or some one who doesn’t mind or better still LIKES the map/mode ?

People do this already. It’s called quitting build and you basically quit the game from the xbox dashboard when the map is loading. I’ve seen streamers do this when they don’t want to play the new and awesome map Overgrowth.
I think that the quitter should have to wait until the match that they have just quit is over before they can search again. If they quit at the beginning, they’ve essentially handed themself like a 10 minute ban, but if they quit half way through, they may only have to wait 4 or 5 minutes.
I also think that quitters should automatically be deranked 1 level every time they quit. Also quitters should be teamed up with other quitters and more reliable players should be teamed together
Two things should be added to help with quitting. First a Veto map option really REALLY needs to be added. Second a Join In Progress should be done while not counting any stats to the joining player if they lose.

Heck no, in ranked you should not have an option to leave because you dont like a map, well even social for that matter. What you want to play a map you normally do good in only? Then your stats mean nothing if you could only do good in one or two maps.

yea DNF players should be matched with people with a similar DNF percentage.

I completely agree. People would stop quitting if they deranked.

I agree with both of those things. I really miss the veto or even the voting option previous Halos had included. However, I can understand the elimination of it because it allowed for certain maps or game modes to never have to opportunity to be played, which I found very frustrating. But overall, it would probably decrease the amount of leavers and spoil-sports mid-game.

I agree, an arena game last at most 10 minutes, if you have a good team you can win in 5 or even less. Put up and shut up. Your not truly skilled if you can only play well on certain maps.
For warzone, I do think it should be a lot more relaxed, I mean there’s JIP largish player count non ranked and most of all the games can last 20+ minutes (which I think should be longer). I’m more likely to leave a warzone game. I NEVER quit an arena game.

This should have been happening since day one honestly. In addition to this I would love it so that people who are rank 1 in a tier and quit an arena game should be de-ranked to the previous tier rank 6 giving people an extra incentive to stay in games than to lose their tier if they are rank 1.

Eh, I am not a fan of the Ban Hammer system. I understand why it’s there, its trying to help.
But 343i shouldn’t be banning people.
I believe they are just pushing people away from playing Halo 5, possibly pushing them to the competition.
Why would you not let someone play your game? They should find another approach.
Maybe de-rank, or if you quit 2 games make them play 2 games without earning xp/rp.
Maybe only “ban” them from ranked games, they are still able to play social or Warzone (Since Warzone is technically social)
Idk why theres a punishment system in social games where there is JIP. Makes no sense to me.
There are many other options, but pushing someone away from the game altogether is a big no no in my book. Just my thoughts
Remove the Leave Game option? Seriously? Shall we remove Xbox home as well, so you know every time you try the quit through ending the game it just shows you a picture of a baby harp seal instead? If you turn your Xbox off you get a years long ban on Xbox live for being a super quitter?

Agreed, matchmaking needs to improve. I’d rather be put with a bad player than a quitter.
We will be getting more maps in free dlc. Also, I think most people feel this way are talking mainly about arena not warzone so AIs are irrelevant. Consequently, arena matches as I mentioned before are only 5-10 minutes long. Put up and shut up. Arena is ranked, players should be equally skilled across all maps not just one.
Finally, there’s no JIP in arena since it’s ranked, and I think that people who quit a ranked game should be ashamed.
If you’re not bothered by your actions affecting other people’s rank, maybe you wouldn’t mind be deranked every time you quit.

Currently, with so many problems and sub-par elements of the user experience, there should be no shame in quitting.
When 343i constructs an experience that stands up to the standards consumers rightfully have in the year 2015, then quitters will reduce.
Quitting is a by-product of poor content and service.

Dude, how do you think that experience becomes when their team mates quit their game with no one to replace them and knowing their competitive rank is going to be decreased. Those people are nothing but selfish.
Also, when search for a competitive game, your signing up to a 5-10 minute game. If you cannot stand the game that much, why are you playing it at all?
Playing all the maps is part of the deal. If you only play on the maps you like or are good at, then what is the point of skill. A skilled player should be fine on any map. Quitters don’t need people standing up for them. If someone quits because they don’t like the map, they deserve the punishment. If someone quits because they are losing, they really deserve the punishment. The only reason one should quit is some real life event going on that is uncontrollable and if that is the case, they probably don’t care they are being banned. But quitters never win.
