They need to do something about all the quiters. They can’t keep using poor Internet as an excuse to not get banned. If you got Walmart internet, get better internet, and if you can’t afford it from your moms allowance, get a job. There needs to be something more severe. No.bans are happening so there needs be something more. Like an embarrassing emblem you have to wear for a week per quit. This way, people have the option from the lobby to leave before the game if they get paired up with quiters. Or, minus 150 kills off thier kdr, or getting busted down an entire division per 2 quits (cumulatively, no resets). Quiters only hurt everyone else on the team. What punishments do you guys think would be appropriate for quiters?
Quitters already are getting harsh penalties quite quickly. 4 days ban for purposefully quiting (Pressing “Leave Game” in the menu) but people who disconnect from the game due to lag should not have “point” towards their quit penalty. It’s pretty hard to stop lag unless you for some reason have enough money lying around to buy better internet. But you may want to buy something more worthwhile with that money (like food for your family perhaps?)
that and quit penlities also negatively effect your Xbox live reputation which means any game with Xbox live matchmaking will purposely search for laggier players or ones that also have bad reputation.
It’s common sense you need good Internet for online gaming. If you are struggling between food and internet, maybe you shouldn’t be gaming until you’ve improved your life a little.
You can’t tell me that that many people have bad I ternet. I see a quiter almost every game. It’s always on the losing team. Dashboarding should count towards quits. They have the technology to implement quiting versus a genuine disconnect. If they employ embarrassment, less people will quit.
This sounds familiar to… Tough on crime! Tough on crime!
Sigh here we go with that again. That’s what got Steven Harper voted out in Canada.
24 hour bans for 3 quits in a 24 hour period. fixed
Lol bringing mandatory minimums to halo… Not a fan. I’m no quitter but if a RL issue pops up the game is less important
Not everyone has a choice with their internet. My area has a single service provider. I apologize if this is inconvenient for you…
Or 343 could make staying in a game worth it. There’s not enough incentive to stay in a game where you’re getting stomped.

Or having a teammate go 1 and 16… And make us lose. I’m tempted to quit and not stay for that BS but I don’t want to get banned
Why don’t the players have the option to allow another player that is waiting, into an existing game? Let’s say I’m waiting a new game but have an option to join another preexisting?

Dude their are buggghhgggggggggs in this mother*********************** game people lag out come your titts
I’ve lost countless games because people leave. I can count 10 games where I was the only person left on my team. I say as soon as someone leaves a game through the menu or dashboard = 10 hr multiplayer ban
Now all the quiters are going to start making excuses lol. Look…if your getting beat, your getting beat. Deal with it. Why quit and give them the victory that much sooner and easier?
I’m sure it goes without saying that you shouldn’t play if you don’t have time, but there will always be those not very smart people.
Kdr is only a secondary stat in this game (unfortanately). To us legacy players KDR will always be most important of stats, but if your kdr is dependant on going negative one game, maybe your problems isn’t that one game.
Not wanting to play because “you’re getting stomped” is just poor sportsmanship. It’s also known as being a sore loser. There is no decent excuse any of you can come up with for quiting outside true emergancy.
I don’t want to hear “my kids” either. If you’re playing games while trying to care for your kids at the same time, you’re a terrible parent.
If you want to quit, or the option to quit, why not do it in warzone where it doesn’t matter? Do you have to do it in arena?
And where are these bans you speak of? I haven’t witnessed anyone getting one.

I agree. 10 hour arena ban though. Doesn’t happen in Warzone to the point.
This game has bugs people lag out not all are quitting this game has problems
The ranking system in this game is based off of wins and losses which is unfair. You can do well and still lose rank! It’s nonsense. I can see having a particular team playlist that is like that, but not all ranked. This is why quiters need punishment, because we get punished for performing well in a game when others dont.
Odst501, I haven’t lagged out once. Stop blaming the game.
Ok you might not have lagout of a game but I have and I have very good internet you need to quit going nut about people quitting because 8 out 10 it’s someone lagout out and. Don’t give oh it not 343 fault oh yes it is
This a huge problem in arena because matches are not repopulated.
A team is at a disadvantage losing just one player, but victory is not impossible. After multiple team members quit, however, it quickly becomes a struggle to spawn let alone win. I generally do not leave matches early, but I have some quits under my belt just from being the last or next to last player when others quit or drop. Until Arena matches refill spots, the remaining players can either quit and risk being banned, or they can suffer though extraordinarily one sided matches.
Bad internet is one thing, and I’m not entirely unsympathetic. But when players quit after being killed only a few times or after the opponents score in CTF, it is not a matter of internet quality; its a matter of bad sportsmanship. I support harsher, more frequent bans on players who actively quit games, not those who just drop. Start burning their REQ cards or prevent them from rejoining arena games.
