Hi all I bet everyone has quit out of halo at one point or another but lately there has been a hell of a lot of quitting in FFA and Arena slayer and it’s starting to ruin the game for everyone??? I’ve been in a lot of games over the weekend where people have quit just because they either cannot get a kill or the team is losing etc etc.Im not the best player in halo but over the weekend I’ve gone from a plat 5 rank to a plat 2 in FFA cos of quitting and a gold 4 in team slayer to a gold 2 this may just be down at a lowly level this is happening but how are we supposed to get on in halo if this thing is going on all the time?? 343i need to get a grip on this as the ban hammer simply isn’t working or no one would be doing it…listen I understand some players get booted but you can tell the difference between the two and for me what’s the point of losing all the time because players are leaving and it’s frustrating…what’s your take on this matter people???

I agree with you. For the past couple weekes when i play i have been dealing with a lot of quiters also. And have been losing a lot of games lately. And my k/d has been dropping dramatically also. I did have have a DNF the other night because of a issue that i dont believe was a server problem. Shortly into a game i got put back to the xbox menu. Witch i thought was odd.

This isn’t always the case, quite short sighted Imo. True, At times there are shocking connections with server times and lag outs, but I’ve never witnessed too many people quitting purely over ‘A little Lag’.
There are too many factors between why people quit, but the general one is because they can.
And OP, with your question on the whole Ban Hammer situation, how do you know it’s not working?
Are you constantly playing with people who have quit your games before? How do you not know these people who are quitting are not getting bans?
Regardless, you can’t stop quitters, if the option is given to one, they will use it for better or worst. The best you can do is play your best until games end.

Because they dont see this as an issue, did you miss the post on here that was full of people complaing and 343 have done nothing
agree!!! Every slayer game I’ve played today someone has quit or has been afk. I was onyx 1700 and went down to 1500 because of it. I’m about to quit playing if this keeps up
Well I really dont know why people quit, but non of us can read minds, so lets give them the benifit of the doubt. Many are quiting all H5 gamesand quiting for good. I am much more worried about why from them, ok my friends,;~}

No. You must finish the game. Just open the window to let some air in. You will be fine! 
Earlier today I started at 30% within my rank. Won 1 game, followed by a losing game thanks to my being on the short side of a 4 on 2 match. Game started 4 on 3 out of the gate and our third guy then quit because of this. It sent me all the way down to 14%. This one shorthanded loss wiped out my previous win AND THEN SOME. Very very frustrating.

I’ve had a player that quit out on my team and a few games later he was on the other team and quit and yes he had kills but more deaths but surely it cannot be a connection error both times… Like I said we have all quit for what ever reason but it seems over the weekend it was rife and it’s even happening at a higher level.At the end of the day it’s annoying but it wouldn’t be as bad if we the players that stay in (and let’s face it you can still win 3v4) didn’t get penalised for losing but it’s ruining the game and players will leave and play something else which makes the community smaller and that we don’t need…
I agree 100%, at this point, ive started playing less and less because of all the quitting. I’ve seen my rank drop dramatically too. At one point, I had a stretch of 5 straight games of slayer where at least one person quit.

Get better internet. Halo 5 is running on the same servers as most other Xbox One games. I have had next to no latency issues. And that is a poor excuse for quitting games.
Well two days ago I had such a bad connection in multiple Breakout games my brother and I died before even making it onto the battlefield, it was really bad. But two dudes quitting out of a Breakout match is a guaranteed loss either. So we sat through it (ended up winning most of them).
Here’s an example of what happened a few times, this one at the very beginning: Gamer DVR - Xbox clips, Twitch clips and streams, Xbox screenshots, Xbox videos, Xbox DVR and more on Gamer DVR! (excuse the German).
If I had quit all the games, I would’ve been banned. Not sure how to feel about it, I really wanted to. No fun at all.
Rarely do I see people quit games. Well in breakout at least. When they do, they start to betray then quit! I have seen this when we are winning and losing doesn’t seem to matter.

Well some people rage quit, connections drop and yes lag is still very real. I really do hate the ban hammer for this reason. I had a game were I was literally warping around the map so why should I stay when the connection is that bad?

I hate people like you who say that. Sorry but sometimes you simply can not get better internet because ISP’shave monopolies on areas. This argument is the biggest load of crap ever. No it’s not a poor excuse if you are seeing people warp around the map. You have some very short sighted reasoning.
