I held my hopes high and had high expectations for this game, and now I can truly say that they have been fulfilled. It took me a few tries to find a match but once I did, I had a great time playing. The game feels great and plays great too; the controls are hard to master, but I’m getting used to it now. The graphics look beautiful and the sound is amazing (surround sound headphones really show this).
The gameplay doesn’t feel boring and dull like halo 4, it feels exciting and fast paced, my hands were sweating like crazy the whole time. The guns actually sounded powerful and were effective in different situations. Each gun serves a purpose in certain situations, Halo is no longer a one gun game where the BR overpowers almost everything. I can honestly say that this is the best multiplayer yet in the halo franchise. I would like to hear your opinions and what you think!
Im loving it so far to, and I honestly think 343 has learned from their decisions in halo 4. watching The Sprint has convinced me of that. But I do believe it does have room to improve, it is a beta after all.I can’t wait to see what else 343 has up their sleeves.

I can’t wait for the new maps that will come out in the beta, especially crossfire. I have a lot of faith in 343 and I hope they don’t screw up the campaign like they did with halo 4.
Holding RT with SMG/AR requires little to none at all.
Halo used to be defined by its skill curve compared to other shooters. Now it seems the casual crowd, which is more willing to dish out $60 each year for a regurgitated COD product, is the target demographic of 343i and Microsoft. Can’t blame them, really, it sells. Just isn’t what I want from a Halo game.

There was no skill in the old ones just luck that’s it this one needs more skill sounds like you like a simple game where your advanced spartan can do two things -Yoink- all.

While I do think Halo 5 is shaping up to be good. You’re on crack. The original Halo trilogy had a giant skill gap. If you have ever played competitive Halo its recognizable like night and day. You needed to think about positioning, communicate with your team, and know the spawn timers for every weapon to get advantage. Halo 5 doesn’t require any of these. You can honestly tank it and play like a complete moron if you have a half decent aim//first shots, there is no reason for communication because the spartans call out in game, and they cradle you with weapon spawns. The competitive ranking system is pathetic. I’ve played for 2 hours tops and I’m halfway to semi pro tier. Yes, its a good Halo game but no way in hell does it take even half the skill Halo 2-3 did.

^Obvious teenager is obvious. If you believe they were ‘just luck’ it’s because you weren’t around to play H2 during it’s peak. As a former level 50 in H2, I can attest (as would ANY competitive player) to the skill involved in effectively utilizing BXR, BXB, double shots in addition to precision shooting with the BR. It defined the individual-aspect of H2 gameplay.

This is by far the dumbest thing I’ve read all day. There is a skill curves. Many of the games have finished “50-12” or “50-20”, and most winners are Gold 3+.
Weapon balancing is not the issues because all 343i has to do is take out the headshot multiplier for the AR, decrease the range on it, and lower some of the power for the smg, and you’ll be set.
There are many more important issues at hand like sprint, the useless sliding feature, the slow aiming times for the DMR and Sniper rifle, etc.

“Weapon balancing is not the issues because all 343i has to do is take out the headshot multiplier for the AR, decrease the range on it, and lower some of the power for the smg, and you’ll be set.”
…,so you 100% agree with me, yet you are saying my post was the ‘dumbest thing you read all day’?
By saying, “I miss skill curves…” I was insinuating there is a reduced skill curve due to the new SMG and AR. It’s called subtext, read between the lines.
