There is something wrong with the quit-banning in halo. I agree that people must be penalized for any method of doing this (whether it’s by simply quitting or dashboard or something else). But it’s been two days in a row that i gotten quit-banned just by having the other team’s host quit on me.
It happens like this: There is only one player left in the other team (which happens to be the host), he quits, it says “game over” and thus our team wins, but once i get back to the lobby it says that I’ve been temporarily banned for quitting.
I’m pretty sure this is due to playing double team since I’m playing with a guest and we occupy the whole team and we are the only console left when the match is over. But maybe 343 should have found a solution to this already.
Im tired of waiting for 10 minutes on my butt waiting for this…
It happens to me all the time, Somebody actually hacked the system to show you as quit-banned. I was credit banned for no reason. and it nearly took a month to appeal the false ban

Nobody hacked anything, you pulled that fact from your behind.
What the OP is experiencing is genuine lag on his part, in fact, his lag spiked so much, it forced him out of the game.
The host is not quitting when you get kicked out, it is YOU being lagged out of a game.
I prefer it this way, you shouldn’t be able to lag out and avoid a quit ban, considering it’s the same thing.
Also, there is NO way to patch this, the game can’t tell the difference between quitting and lagging out.
Multiple times ive started a firefight game and had the other 3 people quit within 2 minutes. I decide to play on to the end anyway, fully finishing the game half an hour later and seeing the post game stat screen and…get quit banned anyway.
Beat that.

That’s the same thing as what The Little Moa just described. It’s not the other people quitting, it’s you. Ever wonder why all 3 people quit at the same time?
Also, try inviting them to a party and talking with them. If this happens again, you’ll notice that they’ll say that they are all playing a game without you.
It’s happened to me several times, and it took me once or twice to figure out it was me.

As I said above its YOU lagging out. If you want to know if it’s you lagging out, watch when it goes black screen, if there is a short time of more black screen once the scoreboard goes off, it is you lagging out the game.
Hmmm… but if i lagged out, how could i continue playing the FF game to the end?
Youre probably right though i suppose.
