It seems like every game has at least one quitter, and the victor of the match is too often decided by which team has more players. I also think that a quit should result in adding deaths to a players record equal to the amount of points left for the enemy team to win the match. This way, staying in a match would be better or equal to quitting.

343i need to remove quit ban for Halo 5 it don’t work at all, because if you get ban for quiting the game for any reason then what going to happen is xbox player is going play something other then halo game or watch a movie or used the internet then sit for 10min to 24 hour for the quit ban to end on Halo 5. Temp quit ban never work for any halo at all. Halo is only game i know that ban player for quiting a game they have a reasons to quit which could be crap game like getting spawn kill or 1 vs 12 or even going to a important phone call with your family member or friends. Like i said Quit Ban never help Halo at all from getting people to stop quiting the game. What if your internet went out at your home and you got a quit ban from playing halo for 8 hours that was not your fault? Please tell one good reason why you need a quit ban for halo 5 and i will tell 20 reason why not.

I think it should work like this 1 match ten minutes 2 matches 30 minutes 3 matches an hour 4 matches 5 hours 6 matches 10 hours and so on and so on till 100 matches then perminately banned from the playlist. Quitters ruin the game and there is no reason to quit if you get spawn trapped or what every break out of it. Quiting only shows that you suck can’t play the game and don’t care about the enjoyment of the others playing.

What a quiter? A person who don’t like getting spawn kill, 1 vs 8, getting troll by the team mate by get you to kill them or they kill you, got their internet cut off when playing halo, game is very lagged to point you can’t get any kill, game kick you out of game no reason, losing game you know you can’t win, not the map you want to play and i could go on for long time list all the reason why people quit in a Halo game.
I have to say i have never, in a Halo game, seen as many quitters as in this one. Almost every game, someone in my team quits, which leads to disadvantages, which in turn leads to more people quitting. It’s painful. But then again, banning people for getting disconnected, or not wanting to be stuck in a 1v4 death fest is just not fair. I’m just waiting for video games to start recognizing the difference between quitting and being FORCED to quit.

I don’t know guys, I think it should be more severe. But there are way more variables into this like John stated.

So in your fantasy world you want player who quit in game should stop playing halo 5 because they made your 10min game match that made you feel like crap? I bet if the other team who trying killing you quit the game you would not feel like crap and be happy that you got a free win to rank up. Having said that, I do quit matches occasionally. Not because of the game itself, but because of my actual life. so if my little boy wakes up at night, when I usually play, then I’m going to leave my match and tend to my business. If my wife needs assistance immediately, then I’m going to help her. I know my priorities and Halo is not it

Penalties don’t stop any one playing Halo 5 from quiting hell if 343i didn’t wanted player to quit the game they should put in game you can’t quit the game, but they didn’t you know why they don’t? Because don’t want the halo player leave Halo 5 to go other game. If i want to quit in game for any reason what ever i should not be ban because i made you feel mad when playing a game that only last most time 10min. And 99% time you will forget who quit the game and move on to next game and as time go on you forget what you was mad about to point you don’t care to think about. That is human nature because your not going care who quit in game because it not important in life. Do Quiting in Halo 5 hurt you any way? If it quiting do hurt your feeling and made you rage in game then you not be playing Halo 5 period and see a doctor for help.
I think they should make it so that if a player quit it should count, but if they get disconnected, it should not count.

At least you know how to separate real life from a game in a virtual world.
I have 2 kids and a wonderful wife… All of which are gamers… But when reality needs to be taken care of I don’t hesitate. I have had to quit several matches. Sorry to the kids that fume because i had to leave their precious match… Which an hour later they can’t remember anyway… But yes, real life takes presidence over a video game.
Or… When my beautiful wife comes in the room and she’s not wearing much at all… Do you think i care for a second what the outcome of the match will be, my kdr or anything else on the screen? Nope.
I don’t quit often… 4 or 5 times since release. I don’t care if i get banned. I don’t care if others quit. It’s just a game. Created for enjoyment and fun. If you’re not having fun, then they probably shouldn’t be playing.

What you said is key and cold hard truth which is sad that most halo fan don’t think about or used critical thinking why player in Halo quit in a game.

Nope I find it annoying if any one quits my team or the enemy team cause I like close games and quitting ruins that. Also I think those that quit should move on to other games and stop ruining Halo cause funny thing day one to five of release the game was fun no one quit it was enjoyable cause only the people that wanted Halo 5 got it then all the meh people and scum that ruin the multiplayer get the game in the following week and multiplayer dies with them getting it. so yeah I think all these new quitters should play other games and move on if they get banned or they can grow up learn to play the game and stop quitting matches. Also incase your death there is no argument for quitting a multiplayer game as you should just play the game regardless of spawn traps or anything like that. Also quitting games is against the terms and conditions of xbox why do you think you can report people for it. Developers and consumers hate it, it ruins the game for everyone playing. So if MR salty on a team quits because he is getting spawn killed or team killed or what ever they should find the skill to make the come back or they should play something thay are good at and enjoy and not something they are not and ruin that for other people that do enjoy the game. and if it’s team killing report them becasue that to is against the Xbox code of conduct.
It’d be nice if it was stricter based on time. Maybe if quits within the first three minutes it’s a guaranteed warning/ban and after that the current system applies.
I think they need to fix this because i got banned for no reason because of losing connection. there is absolutely no reason why the game should banned me for something i cant control. case close. 343 FIX THIS
