Quit Ban Reform Proposal

The quit ban is broken, so i propose a new way of doing it…

In say 4v4 Slayer (where the loss of one player can be very significant), once the teams are decided you stay. If you quit 1st (because you dont like the look of teams, are a stat -Yoink!-, have dinner now, cant be bothered) then your GT is linked to that game and CANNOT ENTER another game until that one is finished, no matter how many times you’ve quit before. This way you cant just nip in and out of games as you like. If you’re dinners ready, you wont mind being locked out of new games as you wont be there - genuine reason.

If you quit 2nd during the match because you’ve seen one other player go - also locked out until match over. 3v4 is still ok, and easily winnable so no need to quit.

BUT for quitting 3rd or 4th you should be allowed to re-enter new games immediately. Nobody should be forced to play out something just for the sake of it. 2v4 is hard against all but the blind players out there and if the opponents are any good, you’ll lose - heavily.

Thoughts?

Nope. quitters need bans. Because when you quit, you know, you ruin the game for everyone else. So yea.

Read what i wrote. Currently you can quit loads and get no ban. Under my system if you quit once you are banned instantly until the game is over. Every time. No warnings.

If you took the time to read what i put, you’d see i’m trying to penalise quitters more than they currently are.

I think repeated offences would incur greater penalties too.

Sorry, just found a thread about this i missed in my search before…

Game of CTF

Enemy scores flag

Teamate quits at going a point down

Your team are quickly outnumbered and your flag is stolen two more times

Game over in two minutes

=Only a 2 minute ban for the quitter

Plus if you have to have dinner you shouldn’t have searched and should be punshed…just sayin’.

My suggestion: Match people with similar quit percentages. This keeps the quitters out of the games of the non-quitters, and punishes the quitters by giving them -Yoink- teamates until they can improve their quit percentage (plus the irony that they must now stay in games that their team quit out of in order to improve their percentage :D).
