Quickscope with Bumper Jumper?

How come there’s no “hold RS to zoom, then release to zoom out” on bumper Jumper in Halo 5? Am I doing something wrong, or is it just like that?

I don’t think there is.
Which is why I play on Standard.
Smart-Link is such an important feature in Halo 5, I need to access it as soon as possible.

One of my pet peeves

I personally really like to press RS to scope, but I don’t know if the hold feature is still there

I currently use Helljumper, which is similar to Bumper Jumper.

In order to use the second level of zoom on the Sniper Rifles, I think you have to press A.

I used to play helljumper, but I didn’t like it. I just don’t like LT scope

I’ve personally found that Helljumper makes it easier to aim.

However, you can get into the habit of jumping all over the place!
Grenade? Jump!, Rocket? Jump! and so on. :joy:

What configuration did you use before Helljumper?

You could always customize your controller setup with the Xbox accessories app. It may take some tweaking but I’m sure you can get the setup your looking for

you can only map buttons, not triggers.

I’ve been able to map the triggers to a button and vice versa, but I’m using the elite controller. I didn’t know there was a difference between what buttons you can and can’t map between the regular controllers and the elite.

I prefer Bumper Jumper without “hold to zoom”, I feel it’s specific for the button layout and the overall practical use for the setting itself. Especially when floating/gliding/ghandi hopping

„In the old halos, you could still zoom the way you do now, but if you held RS, it would stay zoomed until released. If you clicked RS, it would stay zoomed until clicked again.

I really wish I had the elite. I’m satisfied with the Xbox One S controller, but an elite would be awesome.

It’s a great controller. It sucks that the standard controllers don’t have the same button mapping options that the elite does, other than the paddles of course.

Yes, and that would cause a lot of missclick problems with the stick where it would drop zoom if you help this stick for a second too long when clicking it and letting go.

Consider this version a more accurate and skill based quickscope where timing is everything and it requires a double tap to accomplish. It flows better with Stabilize/auto-stabilize and thrusters.

I guess so, but it be nice to quickscope with Bumper Jumper without having to move your thumb all over the place (zoom, shoot, then yy)

But why would you “Y,Y” to drop zoom when bumper jumper is geared to not have to take your thumb off the stick as much? You can just click the stick a second time after your quickscoped headshot…(R3, shoot, R3)… Saves time and lowers risk of dealing with delay between switching weps and being able to shoot/made/etc… Especially when you have zoom on the same stick you use to adjust aim…

u literally put yourself in more danger by wasting seconds with an extra 2 “Y” clicks.
