Quickplay is unplayable and the most tilting experience I've played in a long time

They flip in some maps/gametypes and always have.

Don’t come at me when you haven’t played the game enough to realise you can block spawns.

OK, eating my sock… I want to say I spawn swapped on Foundry a couple days ago on team slayer, but that’s not Bungie Halo, it’s MCC, which doesn’t really count since they -Yoink’d- spawns on MCC.

I have not experience something as severe as this and I still like playing Infinite a lot. But I do agree that the spawns are a bit wonky and sometimes if you get good or bad spawns it can swing that match.

That happened on Bungie Halo too.

Yes, it occasionally happened in bungie halo. people typically chalked it up to bad luck though since it was not something normal that happened unless the opposing team had the map locked down (which was possible)

but in halo 4 and onward, there was no spawn weighting, you get spawned in a random blank spot on the map, often times already in the sightline of an enemy, or an enemy will straight up spawn behind you and force a “map flip” because the game just keeps spawning them behind you in the area of the map that you occupy.

predictable spawns are essential in a competitive game like halo because it promotes staying knowledgable about the map and how to best control it.

controlling the map is absolutely useless in quick play as it currently stands because someone is always going to get a freebee based on potluck spawns. it can literally be match start on behemoth slayer, you kill someone and your team is still in your base and the enemy can spawn just a few feet to your left and kill you.
