I would rather have those Elite Skins instead of those Unreal Tournament wannbe skins! ![]()
I need a switch for these kill effects they’re so cheesy and weird
Oops, I meant to put this in a different topic
I did mention that didn’t I?
Armor effects are one thing, but the kill effects are annoying.
I’m not against odd things being added (within reason), but I’d like to see a way to disable kill effects added.
Maybe have it so that even with it disabled, you and others see it over dead players when they die, but the dead players who have it disabled won’t see it.
I’d rather see the birthday party effect.
Something about the skull is very jarring and disruptive.
More jarring than loud children cheering and exploding confetti?? Surely you’re joking.
I also find the kill effects annoying, but I think it is mainly because it is forced upon me, adding insult to injury. With the death effects of Halo Reach I chose to see them. They also didn’t bother me when I got a kill or witnessed one, maybe because I already had the satisfaction of getting the kill (or at least not being the loser).
It seems worse to me, but maybe I just don’t remember the birthday party effect in multiplayer that well.
I would not like that birthday party crap eaither. Just like in Reach you have children yelling YEAAAAA! when you kill somebody. That is so stupid! ![]()
That was kinda the point.
You are playing a game and having fun. Why not have something stupid and funny happen on occasion?
Pay a bit of money to annoy other players? Sounds like a lucrative revenue stream from the company’s perspective ![]()
Except it happens frequently.
So did the Grunt Birthday Party effect in Halo Reach. At least if you were good at killing the other guys, or if you died often.
I don’t remember that effect very well.
All I remember is seeing characters with lightning and bugs around them.
With Grunt Birthday Party on, if you died; you had a burst of confetti and the children cheering as you died, just like with the Grunt Birthday Skull from Halo 3 and onward.
I know that.
However, I don’t recall seeing it, possibly because it seems to have been something that only happened to whoever activated it.
Nope.
I distinctly recall killing guys who had it activated.
What I mean is that it wasn’t something I remember well because it wasn’t something that happened to me.
It apparently only happens to whoever activates it, and I guess I didn’t unlock it or activate it.
One good thing I liked about the grunt party effect is that it only happened with headshots.
