So I’ve been at work all day and I just popped on to see if anything is up and apparently I missed quite the ordeal? Anyway if someone could clarify what happened I’d really appreciate it.

From what I have gathered, it seems that earlier today there was an issue where LE owners and map pass owners weren’t getting the Crimson Map Pack for free. After a long fight with it, Microsoft got it free for them, but it also became free (by accident) for everyone who accessed the marketplace through the Halo 4 main menu. Obviously this has people ticked off because they paid money for the maps and probably a couple thousand others just scored it for free. I think it is fixed now but the glitch was up for a couple hours I think, so a lot of people got it without paying for it.

Yeah. The people who missed the glitch will want to be treated fairly and allowed free access. The LE and map pass owners will want people who downloaded the maps punished. It will go on for a week and then people will find another reason to hate everything Halo 4/343 related.
Haha. Indeed.
In the meantime, the silent majority will continue playing and enjoying the game.
Alrightly, understandable I guess considering this isn’t the first time Microsoft has had this problem.
Will people like myself who purchased the LE get some sort of refund/compensation?

Prior to that, you could not download the Crimson Map Pack at all but was available for purchase. So you know what happened next. That’s right. Some people who already purchased the War Games Map Pass also purchased the Crimson Map Pack. On top of that, the download for those who have the War Games Map Pass was delayed…
No, this glitch is still working. It has something to do with activating your specialization code before the Title Update. If you did, it appears free.
You could delete both the Title Update and the Specialization code and then re-download them and the Spec code first and then the Title Update and boot Halo 4 and access the Marketplace through the menu.
well microsoft said they are aware of people downloading it for free that did not qualify for it and are going to do something
Where’d they say that at? It’s their mistake. lol
