Quick question: Aim assist

Hey,

Haven’t played since January. Have any of the updates changed anything about the aim assist between controllers and mkb? If not I’ll stick to Valorant instead.

Not yet far as i can tell.

Valorant is nothing like halo though so if thats your preference best just stay on that regardless of AA id imagine.

Cheers.

Yeah I know Valorant is nothing like Halo. It’s a completely different game. What I hate about infinite is just that when I die I wonder if its just cause the other person is good, or if aim assist saved them. Guess ill stay away.

Gundam overwatch clone is a good time if you want something new to cleanse your palette.

Happy sniping friend!

I’ve been playing Halo since CE. Infinite’s aim assist is the worst in the series.

We don’t need aim assist nerfed down to be even worse, we need improvements to MnK

My ticket regarding this topic that has been open for one year since beta just got closed and the agent basically told me to go kick rocks. I don’t think they’re ever going to fix it.

They cant.
The base implementation of how aiming, assist and magnetism function is nothing like older blam games.
It started with halo 5 likely in response to the more twitch based base game mechanics and so infinite would require a base reworking of the mechanics to properly fix weapon handling.
The controller set up is so far removed from the older implementation and is essentially contrary to the original design philosophy not to mention not nearly as easy to fine tune and adjust as it is a more simplified contemporary approach that while functional isnt what made halos gunplay so smooth.
Hence why the “the gameplay is good but” and “but unreal engine wont feel like halo” arguements are easily some of the least informed and most misguided takea in the community right now.
