There’s something I’ve been wondering that I’ve never really seen made clear. Will there still be weapon spawns on the map at all? I know power weapons drop in at random places, but will any other weapons default spawn on the map a la all the other Halos?
Yes
It has been said in the past that many weapons like the Assault Rifle, Battle Rifle, DMR, and other spawning weapons will be littered around the map just like in previous games, but not necessarily highlighted like the power weapons are.
So basically weapons will spawn just like they always have with the exception of power weapons. I assume grenades won’t spawn on the map since you have to have a perk (ugh) to pick them up?

Grenade do spawn on the map, and I do believe they are highlighted in a similar manner to power weapons.

I think you only need the perk to pick up grenades from fallen enemies, however I could be wrong.

I know the official description of that perk specifically said fallen enemies so maybe you’re right and you can pick up map spawn grenades. That would be a lot less of a problem for me.

That’s my understanding yes.
