My buddy and I made a small derelict ship themed map and infection gametype, and I was wondering if I could grab 6-8 people of varying skill levels to test it.
The map is a small two level cargo ship, with an armory to the bottom right of the start, a sick bay to the bottom left, and a command center in the front. It’s very linear and very close quarters, the Flood spawn fairly close to or in potential camping spots, and there isn’t a whole lot of ammo, which will hopefully keep the game slightly balanced for the Flood.
The Spawns probably won’t be perfect until a couple iterations of testing
the Gametype itself is fairly straight forward, just shoots the dudes who are all Floodified and stuff.Flood are immune to headshots (they still take damage) and have no shields, but slightly increased health. The LMS might have enough health to take two sword hits, and is slightly faster. There are vehicles on the map, although they’re intended to fill empty space, you can drive them, but not use the gunner seat. So can the flood.
And everybody is still that ugly shade of yellow, because 343 sill hasn’t addressed that you can’t change it. But here’s the twist! So are the Flood! Infected have an unchanged appearance, so at a distance it’s more difficult to tell friend or foe, even more so without radar or waypoints. It’s a design choice I like that worked really well in Reach, but if it proves to be too much a nuisance I’ll change it
