Important quotes:
> Quote 1: That trailer is prerendered, but it’s entirely made with ingame assets. The armors and map relate to a specific mode.
> Quote 2A: Arena means what you’d expect - competitive focus, level playing field, map control. Spartan abilities are player mechanics not loadout AAs.
> Quote 2B: Things that every player can do inherently with their Spartan.
I’m just going to point of the point in time where certain observation stood out to me. Here’s the video for those of you who want to follow along:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qqrC0-_QG9A
0:07: Arena style map is relieved afloat in space, giant screens display what two teams will be facing each other on the field (Red vs Blue). 25 second prep-time is given. This could relate to Quote 2A.
0:10: Battle Rifle with 72 round magazine and no iron sight. In the reveal art, Agent Locke holds a Battle Rifle with what looks to be a red dot sight, so attachments may be involved in this competitive arena mode. Reference image: http://cdn1.tnwcdn.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/1/files/2014/05/Halo5_Primary-TeaserArt_Horizontal_RGB_Final.jpg. Note: This may be a MA5K as pointed out in another topic.
0:10-0:12: A voice that sounds like or is Nathan Fillion, voice actor of Buck from Halo 3: ODST, can be heard. This could mean that Buck is now a Spartan-IV or an overseer to the Spartan-IV program. He could also be an announcer like Jeff Steitzer was.
0:11: New armor is revealed that looks a little bit more smooth than traditional armor. This could relate to Quote 1.
0:13: Default Sprint returns as a “Spartan Ability.”
0:14: Assault Rifle has a 32 rounds magazine once again and no attachments are to be seen on it. There is also a number 2 on the Spartan’s arm.
0:16: Spartans are launched into map after countdown ends. Notice the screens give stats of each Spartan showing an Assault Rifle next to their profile. This could indicate that for this gamemode at least, loadouts are returning for primary weapons. This could be because some players spawn with the Assault Rifles and others with the Battle Rifle/MA5K. Some Spartans are carrying Magnums, indicating it as a potential standard secondary weapon.
0:20: Spartan uses Thruster Packs, returning as a default “Spartan Ability,” combining it with a melee attack to one hit kill an enemy Spartan. This may be the result of combining the Thruster Pack with the Melee.
0:23: Spartan slides behind cover. This could mean that combining Sprint with Crouch can make your Spartan slide. Gun is still partially aimed, so you may also be able to shoot.
0:24: Spartan takes cover behind a wall. This could mean a cover system has been implemented into Halo based off of Quote 1. Or it may be just for the sake of the trailer.
0:26: Spartan combines Melee with a downwards Thrust, and when impacting on the ground kills a nearby Spartan (similar mechanic to Crysis). It should be noted that you may have a recovery time due to the position the Spartan lands in, making you an open target if you fail to kill the enemy.
I don’t know if this thread has been done before, but I hope it helped you guys notice some new things. Thanks for reading.
