I’m sure this may have been asked before, but how come the bomb doesn’t detonate as soon as it is planted in the goal anymore? Is there a legit gameplay reason or what?
The gametype isn’t based off assault anymore, so maybe 343 decided to blow the ball up a few seconds later.

You can set the timer for the bomb detonation in custom games. I guess 343 set the timer for 5 seconds on matchmaking.

There are two versions of grifball. Pro and Halo 4. Pro is the old style where the round ends as soon as it lands and holding x to pick up the ball. Halo 4 style allows you to just touch it and run with the ball, as well as it being first to 5.
