Quick DLC Achievement Question

Hi folks,

Just a quick question here - do the Defiant and Anniversary achievements have to be performed on a map from the coinciding map packs?

I’m just wondering because I’ve completed some of the required tasks but not unlocked them - and the achievement details do not make mention of having to do it on a specific map(s)/DLC, so it’s a little bit confusing. I’ve tried looking this up and gotten mixed information. I seem to recall that the Noble DLC achievements, and some of the Defiant ones, could be done on any maps not just specifically the DLC ones.

Usually if a specific map is required to complete the achievement on it is mentioned in the details, such as in the “You Blew it Up!” Noble 1 achievement.

Thanks for the advice!

Cheers

The achievements that came with the Noble and Defiant map packs can be done on any map. (Well, except for You Blew it Up, obviously.)

The achievements that came with the Anniversary Map Pack, including the Defiant Achievements, ARE map specific. If they are designated as a Defiant Achievement such as Last Man Standing, then it MUST be done on a Defiant map.

Good luck!

Thanks for the info. I just wanted to clarify as it isn’t specifically mentioned in the achievement details.

Cheers!

fun fact: You don’t have to go into matchmaking for most of the achievements unless noted in the description. You can get ones like “Candy from a Baby” in Custom games as long as the gametype is a default or one signed by Bungie.

Can you help me i need a few more achievements and its not working in custom games for me. What is your gamertag

“Most” is an overstatement. Candy from a Baby, Return to Sender, and Crackin’ Skulls don’t really count as “most” of the achievements.

Some of the achievements are only attainable on a limited number of maps, or even a single map. For example All Alone has to be done on Uplink.
