Halo Infinite’s campaign is pretty epic but I think there’s a few small changes that could be made to make it an even more enjoyable experience. These are as follows:
- When free roaming around Zeta there should be more background music to fill the silence and really get you in the zone. Given the amazing soundtracks this game has, its such a shame that we hardly get to hear them. Possibly even add a menu option that allows you to select what sort of background music you want and the frequency.
- There should be more in-game rewards for either campaign or multiplayer when reaching certain milestones like finding all the audio logs, destroying all the Grunt Communication Towers collecting everything within a certain area and so on.
- A campaign progression statistic would be nice to see somewhere within the in-game menus other than in the loading menu for those who are looking to complete the game.
- Given how much beautiful artwork has been created and how picturesque the game is, why is every loading screen the same boring birds-eye view of Zeta? Surely there could be more variation in loading screens?
- The Ghost has an unlimited speed boost which needs to be fixed.
- Allowing players to customize their vehicles and weapons at an FOB like how the Armory work in multiplayer would make the campaign more enjoyable to play once the story has been completed.
- Marking locations where audio logs and skulls have been found either on the map or within the Audio Log menu would be useful and help those looking to find every collectible.
- This is probably a bit harder than the rest but a weather system would be really enhance how natural and encapsulating Zeta would be as with a somewhat constant biome and minimalist day to night cycle it could really do with a bit more change to make the gameplay more engaging and truly feel like you’re on an alien planet and what the mighty forerunners are capable of.
Other than these slight additions, which I truly think wouldn’t take much time at all yet would provide a lot of value to players, you’ve done a smashing job with Halo Infinite’s campaign and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed exploring Zeta Halo so thank you very much
