Currently the hold position command will over-ride queued move commands. I think it would be useful to allow units to hold position after executing move commands.
For example this would be very advantageous for scouting since I like to queue up a bunch of move commands to scout enemy bases then leave the scout on hold position overlooking an expansion (until its time for the next scouting run). It would be nice if I can add this to the move commands so I don’t have to worry about going back to the scout once its finished scouting, lest it get caught up in an ‘all units’ command. Anything that can make micro on a console RTS easier is always appreciated!
Que commands is a waste of time. Its better to send units around to collect supplies than to highlight EVERYTHING or to split your own units. It makes stuff more tedious. I do love Hold Position but rarely find use for it still.

Of course it’s a waste of time in the very early game when you have so many other things you need to be doing. Scouting is a different matter, especially in team games on large maps. Then it becomes VERY useful to invest a little time to set your scout on a path around the bases while you do other things, that way if you don’t see that your scout has reached the enemy base it won’t get picked off as easily or take too much damage from turrets. This would be improved if it could be followed up by Hold Position, which was a wonderful addition to the game to the point where I don’t know how managed without it!
Most RTS games allow queued move and then hold position commands, and I think this could be done non-intrusively with existing buttons.

You may find it a waste of time, but Red Shift Nova apparently doesn’t. And neither do I for that matter. We all play a little different.
