How did the campaign of halo 3 outcomes goes to halo 4
Chief and Cortana were stuck in the back half of the ship in which they escaped the Ark with the Arbiter. Arbiter was in the front half and he made it through the portal that was created above the Ark. Chief and Cortana were drifting through space since the portal closed as they were going through it. Halo 4 picks up after the duo had been drifting for a few years. They come across something weird that scans the ship and meet the new Covenant.
