I’ve saved up a load of cans and I’m ready to redeem the codes. I know how to do it but I don’t know whether I’m going to get infinite on steam, Microsoft store or xbox. I’d rather get it on steam for when I get a proper pc but I’m not sure if the promotional codes will carry over from waypoint to my steam account. Is there a way to link my Microsoft account to Steam? Would it still count as one purchase and I can play on pc and console? I’m a bit worried and I don’t want to lose my codes as I spent quite a bit of money on the drinks so some clarification would be appreciated. Thanks
Don’t worry—it (most likely) won’t matter which platform you play the game on. If MCC is any indication of how 343 is going to handle Infinite’s online service, it should be running on the Xbox servers. This means players will need to use a Microsoft account, which is tied to the game and has all of your redeemed codes stored in it. I hope that makes sense!
No word on whether you can use the items on only one device. I think we have to assume that it will be fine on any platform we play on until further information releases. I have already used my Monster codes and they attached to my Halo Waypoint account t directly.
