Questions About The MM Filtering System

Ok so I talked with my brother a little while ago about what the matchmaking filtering system would be like, and I’m wondering if anyone else is curious or knows a little bit more:

1- What’s the voting system gonna be like?? If it’s one good thing I liked about Reach and 4: was the voting system, it gave you more options than the old vetoing system, which I disliked cause if you vetoed a game you didn’t like, you might of gotten something even worse.

example: veto’s oddball gets capture the flag

I’d imagine they’d at least have a new voting system that might be universal on this, anyone else got any ideas on that or what?

2-Is there a way to filter out specific game types? I’ve never been super fond of Battle Rifle start games and I also disliked that weapon immensely(except for Swat) so is it possible to just filter out specific game types to an extant or no?

3- Is it possible to filter which specific Halo game maps? let’s say I’d like to just play Halo2, Halo3 maps and maybe once and awhile go to Halo4 maps, is it possible to filter matchmaking that gives me those specific results or what??

I’m curious.

We will know for sure.

Just wait for more information.

That’s the best thing to do.

  1. There were a couple screen caps from the map voting screen floating around. I don’t remember seeing a veto option on it.

  2. So far, there are some general gametype hoppers. Most of the specific stuff looks to be garbled up inside of them.

  3. You can choose to join matches of one specific game. I haven’t heard anything about selecting more than one game at a time, and it seems highly unlikely that they will since that will effectively divide the matchmaking experience into about ten different groups (correct me if I did my math wrong, been out of school for too long xD) of people, and that will slow down matchmaking and create lower player counts in your prospective hoppers. As-is, we will have five different matchmaking groups (All of them, only CE, only H2, only H3, and only H4).

Of course, all that we have seen so far is eligible to change. They already said that they are still working on the playlist hoppers, so we can probably expect to see most of those change drastically from what we have seen so far.
