Questions about the Harbringer Achievement

Hi, I was tempted to go for this achievement. But there were two things I wanted to know before I do so:

  1. If you’re playing Solo and get killed, but there are other members of the fireteam that are still active, does that count as the entire fireteam dying?
  2. If you’re about to die, and reset to the last checkpoint to avoid doing so, are you disqualified from getting the achievement or something? It sounds really stupid, but I just wanted to check to be 100% sure.

You can revert to last checkpoint and still get the achievement, but I’m not sure on the first question since I tried it 4 player Co-op.

i completed this in co-op. one plays defensive (usually the one who controls the AI, so you can keep sending them after specific targets) and the other blazes away.
you could do it solo and hang back a lot and keep sending you AI in, but if they all keep dying (as they usually do), you will just take longer to complete the mission

Just make sure that you don’t reach the ‘game’ over screen, where all three of your allies are dead and you die too, leaving no one alive to revive you and forcing the game to reload a checkpoint for you. To be safe, just reload your last checkpoint anytime you go down if it doesn’t look obvious a nearby ally is going to revive you, and if all three of them are down take cover until one respawns, or reload your check point IMMEDIATELY if you go down. Another useful tip is skipping the Warden boss fight on this level entirely.

When I got it I went down and one of my teammates revived me. Like baddog said, just make sure all 4 of you don’t go down at once, and definitely skip that warden fight.

Thanks for the replies, but IDK if I made the question clear enough. What I meant was, if you actually DIE in a way that can’t be revived from (eg, instant death from Incineration Cannon, Falling off a ledge, Having the AI ignore you when you request to be revived etc), and some of your squadmates were still alive while you died will you still get your achievement?

If you die in a way that you can’t be revived it will void the achievement. If it happens, you may be able to revert back to the last checkpoint manually if you are fast enough, but I cant confirm if this will qualify for the achievement or not

If you skip fighting the wardens you won’t have to worry about that whole section. This is what I did for getting the Prison Break achievement. This vid shows how to skip the Warden fight. Also you can see how I got Prison Break solo…Prison Break, shows Warden skip
When I got Harbinger I was just really careful so I didn’t die. Just take your time.
