Questions about Slayer

I’ve been a dedicated consumer of Halo since its release. The consumer drives the market, not the other way around. With all things being equal (they aren’t), I’ve logged countless instances where the game seems to strategically respawn players in no win situations. Engagement occurs less than 1 second after spawn and 1 shot head kills with pistols, BRs are more and more frequent. Its as though Halo is deciding who wins before the match even begins. I’m not complaining about matchmaking algorhythms, I’m saying a player can’t simply break out with 65% accuracy with precision kills when their playing ability is very clearly not there. Luck is not involved and players weapons dont magically become more powerful.

Are you talking about player match-ups in matchmaking being unfair? That’s what happens when a player who has not played in a while, or a new player entirely, plays online. I recall having a lot of trouble myself in many online matches because everyone on the enemy team was doing so much better than me. However, I have been playing Halo 5 a lot more recently, and I seem to be doing better than before, probably because I’m more used to the mechanics. I find myself being better in online matches in Halo 5 than Halo Master Chief Collection, and that’s surprising to me since I’ve played a lot more of Halo’s 1, 2, 3, and 4 in custom games and online matchmaking. There are always going to be players that are better skilled online, because those people practice playing the game, and know what to do in what situation.

I appreciate the input. I’m religious about Halo, and have definitely put the time in. To clarify, I’m a consistent Platinum 1 or 2. I’m average and have NO problem playing higher caliber players (that’s what makes us better). My issue is with the mythic level of talent that players exhibit (I’ve played multiple matches with these players) and one simply doesn’t “learn” to be a 10 head shot master when I know they don’t have that level of talent. Aim assist is one thing but no one can do a hard right on a spartan charge mid way through execution, and I’m not referring to boosting at the end. This is just an example but you get where I’m coming from. I’m no Onyx level player, but silver 1 doesn’t go for God level in between games.

If your talking about players playing inconsistently in between matches than I can assure you it’s most likely not hacking. As a diamond player I can tell you sometimes a specific match just feels like it swings in your favor. You just have a solid match of being in the right place at the right time and holding your own in encounters, and then next game it’s back to getting clapped in dubious circumstances. Could be connection issues, or it could just be a bad game. Unless you roll with a full team, there’s no way of avoiding this daily issue.

If you’re a decent enough player, you can predict where people will spawn so you can shoot them right as they appear. Your other issues sounds like a connection problem because there is no one shot kill pistol outside of Swat and no one is hacking.
