Now I know this topic has probably been asked 1000 times, and it’ll probably get shut down by a monitor because of it, but I just wanted to know: will the Flood be in Infinite? It is based on Zeta Halo, after all. Also, will Blue Team accompany John? I would really like to see Fred, John, Linda, and Kelly all fight Escharum together, although that sounds kinda cliche. Another question is: will the open world Campaign also have a mode kinda like co-op, but people are already in the missions, kinda like what Bungie did with Destiny 2? Yet another question is, how will they incorporate the Promeathians into the Banished-based campaign? It’ll probably have something to do with Cortana having like, I don’t know, a mini-war with Atriox. And this isn’t really Infinite related, but is Chips Dubbo still alive? I’m so excited for Infinite! (Hopefully there will be a place to map your buttons, since I don’t like the feeling of pressing Right Bumper to sprint) Also, it would be pretty awesome if Red Team was in Infinite.

Infinite better have Co-op or I’m not buying it.
Anyways, if it does have Blue team, maybe (if there is actually co-op) it could be like Halo 5 where in co-op each guy is a different character, instead of having 4 Master Chiefs. I’m sure the flood will be in this game, every game we have seen that takes place on, or features a halo ring, has the Flood. If it doesn’t, I dunno, less reason for me to want to buy it.
I’m pretty sure it has local co-op.
Okay, I’ll try to answer the questions in order
- There’s been no confirmation (or even any extraordinary hints) that Flood will have any presence in Infinite. There’s also been no hard deconfirmation, though. - Blue Team’s presence (Excepting John, obviously) in Infinite is also in limbo, having been neither confirmed or deconfirmed by 343i. They are confirmed to appear in the upcoming book “Shadows of Reach,” which will likely leave us with a reasonably good idea of where they are and what they’re doing when the Infinite campaign begins. 343i has repeatedly messaged that Infinite is Chief-centric in a way more similar to the original trilogy, so I wouldn’t count on them being very involved in the actual campaign. - There’s been no detail provided on whether or not Infinite’s campaign open world will correlate in any way whatsoever with the MP suite of the game. While Infinite is being built as a “platform,” for Halo, which does understandably evoke Destiny, there’s no knowing at this point if or how there will be any resemblance. I’d expect more details on this in the coming months. - Like the Flood, there are no concrete details indicating that the Promethians will (or won’t) be incorporated into Infinite’s campaign in any capacity. As for speculation that Cortana is involved in any conflict or cooperation with the Banished or any other faction, that’s also all very unclear. - I don’t believe there’s ever been any definitive indication that Chips Dubbo has shed off this mortal coil (thank goodness). I’m not sure we’ll see him in Infinite, but “Chips Never Die.” - It would be cool to see Red Team in Infinite, but I suspect that they’ll be conscientiously distanced from the action of this game like Blue Team to keep the story relatively concise and Chief-focused.Any and all of this is subject to change, as Infinite is being slated as a “Ten Year Journey,” for the Halo franchise, and as such it will likely receive numerous story “DLC’s” that expand its scope and scale. I’m just trying to relay the best available information about what we currently know about the launch campaign for the game. Anyone with additional or contrary information to what I’ve provided is heartily invited to correct or add any additional comments!
I’m excited for Infinite, too. Whatever it’s going to be, it’s something entirely new and different and I’m willing to give it an honest chance.
