Questionable true skill system.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but doesn’t Halo 4 have a true skill system that is always turned on, in comparison to Reach’s faulty system?

I’ve had numerous games where it was obvious that there were weaker players in my team. Players that could barely even get 50 points in CTF [ They didn’t join in progress ].

Is it supposed to start working when the ranking system arrives?

Read the matchmaking sticky at the top of the page. This is fully explained.

I’ve always felt that as I win, my opponents get more and more difficult, and my team mates just get worse and worse.

Thanks for the hint.

What I found out about it is that the matchmaking system will at first attempt to find an ideal match, but when there aren’t such matches around it’ll lower it’s standards.

I would prefer it if the standards would never be lowered, as they weren’t in Halo 3. Since when you prefer a good connection in Halo 3 you won’t find a match until it finds one, never lowering it’s priority.

I don’t think it works, I feel like the system just prioritzes gettting players into a game more so then it does matchmaking them based on there skill level. At least from my perspective that what it does. There have been alot of games where I would matchmake with players and the people of my team don’t perform as well as you think they should.

I remember Reach, Halo 4 has a much better trueskill system.

It certainly did lower the standards when searching ranked.
“Looking for ideal match, looking for close match, looking for any match”

They operate the same way, just H4’s isn’t visible, or a button to over ride the search preferences.

From my experience from playing both titles, it doesn’t. Thats just my opinion from all the games I’ve played. When playing invasion, I’ve found progressively better players, I don’t find that in Dominion.

Reaches was a “take your noob, to matchmaking” it could only be faulty by concept, not in function.

no there is and will be no trueskill system.

there will be CSR, but it wont be accurate as the BPR wasnt accurate at all and gave numerous, and I mean numerous individuals 100’s/perfect scores
