I am seeing so many people on this forum say that Halo 1 and 2 are the pc ports. Can someone please provide proof? I mean from 343 themselves? I do not recall any word that they were.
Well there are loads of Halo CE maps included that were exclusive to PC.
If that is the reason then wow.
CEA for the 360 was the PC version. We’ve known that since 2011.
They announced about 6 or 7 months ago that they were including all the PC maps for Halo CE & Halo 2. And apparently I was the only person on the planet who put 2 & 2 together on that one.
The PC ports work better with current-gen architecture and already run at 1080p & 60fps, so again, painfully obviously which they would be using.
Unfortunately, probably due to time restraints since it’s clear they didn’t have enough time to finish this game properly, they didn’t fix any of the notorious issues with the PC versions, but hopefully they will.
So at this point its just speculation then? They also included the 360 exclusive maps for Halo 2 as well. never appeared on h2 pc.

It’s Vista.
They ported all of the Vista version (campaign, shared maps, and PC exclusive maps) and only had to do any serious work porting the few maps exclusive to the original Xbox.
Even in the Legendary walk-through videos for Halo 2 on Halo Channel confirm they’re using Vista (some of the trick jumps in the Ghost are tricky since Vista had wonky vehicle physics, which is acknowledged) and sure, those videos are done by Naked Eli, but I doubt they’d be on the Halo Channel if they were misleading.

Once again there is no official source saying it was a port of the pc version.
