I’m getting Halo CEA.
My friend has Reach and will not be getting Halo CEA.
If she buys the CEA Map pack for Reach, will we be able to play together with me having the Halo CEA disc in and her having the map pack on Reach.

Read the bulletin that posted on the 9th. It’s goes into full detail on who can use what maps depending on what you purchase.

I didn’t find the bit where it said if I can play with someone who has the Map Pack.
We both play firefight arcade and that’s pretty much it.
So just a yeah or no. Will we be able to play with the new maps together, with one of us having Halo CEA disc and other having Halo Reach disc + CEA Map Pack?

It will be like Halo 3
If you have the map & she doesn’t then you will only be able to play in certain playlists when you’re partied with her
kinda same goes for firefight, only she won’t be able to play on those new maps or playlists
Thanks, so as she will be buying the CEA maps we will be able to play together. I know the CEA says it has 7 maps and the pack has 6 packs, so that’ll only be one map unable to play together which is fine with me.
Also if anyone can answer this, on Gears of War 2 there is a mode called horde where waves of enemies keep coming till you die and you can do it with a team.
Is there a mode on Halo Reach that does the same thing, can it be played with random people, alone or with a party?

The map pack comes with 7 maps (6 multiplayer map and a firefight map). You’ll be able to play with her on all of them.
Yes, kinda. It’s called ‘Firefight’. You can adjust the settings to make the game play however you want. Want to fight lots of Hunters using only the pistol and a jetpack? You can do it. Want to drive around in vehicles taking out grunts and elites? You can do it.
You can play with 3 other people in Firefight (4 max)
