I’m not sure if anyone else noticed, but when you look at Halo 5’s page in the Xbox one’s store, the size is only a hundred megabytes! Why is the game extremely small? Anyone got any ideas?
I don’t think that’s the final size. It’s probably just a placeholder untill they know exactly how much it will eat up.
Yeah it’s just a placeholder for now. Once the game goes gold, or shortly after that, the stores should be updated with the final file size for launch

100 MB is just the preorder. When the game is finished and they know the exact size, it will be updated. Sometime close to launch, your preorder will initiate the installation of the full game. It’s just how they made digital preorders work, 100 MB won’t be the size of the game.

If it was only 100mb download then well done 343 for your amazing compression technique, please share with more developers so I can fit more games on my Xbox One hard drive lol.
It’s just like how they handle a season pass. The 100mb D/L is basically just something they link to your account to verify your purchase. It is then exchanged when the content becomes available.
