Is there any justification - any sound line of logic - that says that a Diamond player should be consistently facing one or more champions, coupled with Onyx players?
The only explanation I can think of is that the population is simply too low.
I would assume population, the whole point the the new ranking system was to avoid this.

I just don’t understand this. It’s probably the most ridiculous ranking system ever.
I just faced two champions and multiple onyxs. Uhh, durp, if I’m an Onyx level player, -Yoinking!- tell me. Don’t tell me I’m diamond level, but face me against onyx and champion levels players. Holy -Yoink-.
