Question to keyboard users, how do you bind your mouse?

Currently I would say my mouse has 7 options:

Left Click - (Shoot)
Right Click - (Zoom)
Scroll Click - (Grenade)
Upscroll - (Switch Weapon)
Downscroll - (Melee)

My mouse has two side buttons also.

Top left button - (Sprint)
Bottom left button - (Crouch)

Basically I wanted to map the most important buttons to the mouse. With this set up I can pretty comfortably flag juggle which I struggled with when I was using the keyboard to sprint and crouch.

I’ve switched up a bunch of these options and it always feels like I’m missing a trick somewhere. This iteration gives me the best options in terms of performing the more advanced movement and jumps.

Left Click - Shoot
Right Click -Zoom
Side button - Switch weapons
That’s all I have on my mouse & I don’t use scroll as it is to sensitive & often over scrolls back to what I wanted to switch from cos 343 cant make mouse scroll direction one action.

WASD - normal KB movement
Shift - Sprint
C - Crouch
E - throw grenade
V - Switch grenade
F - Use equipment

Left Click - Fire

Wheel - Swap Weapon
Wheel Tilt Right - Scan
Wheel Tilt Left - Swap Weapon (Since Infinite double swaps for some reason with scroll, when no other game does)
Wheel Click - Zoom
Left Left Top Click - Swap Vehicle Weapon
Left Left Bottom Click - Drop Weapon
Thumb Side Forward - Crouch / Slide
Thumb Side Backward - Push to Talk
Thumb Large Button - Melee

I use a controller in my left hand for joystick movement and buttons, since I hate keyboards

I’d recommend getting the Logitech gaming mouse. The extra buttons are great.

I have a Logitech G203, but admittedly I don’t game much with a keyboard and mouse so I’m not going to buy any more equipment but appreciate your comments in this and the other topic.

It’s hard to practice on kbm as you have one MMR for your account irrespective of input so I can’t match my performance on controller at all. Severely lacking in experience.

I use a Razer Viper Ultimate…
Left click - Shoot
Right click - Aim
Scroll click - grenade
Scroll up - Nothing
Scroll down - Crouch
Left top side button - Switch weapons
Left bottom side button - Drop weapon

I do usually use scroll down and up to change weapons but for some reason, it doesn’t work all that great in Halo Infinite. Most of the times I’ll scroll down to change weapons but it’ll happen so fast that it won’t change. Really got annoying that I would swap the wrong weapon for another one. So I changed it. Halo Infinite is the only game that does this.

For my key bindings…
WASD normal movement
E - Melee
R - Reload
T - Tag
F - Action
Space - Jump
Shift - Sprint
Ctrl - Switch grenades
Q - Use equipment
Z - Scan

Yep, same problem here.

I had issues with my old mouse and with MCC, but my scroll works fine in Infinite.

I think it depends on the mouse as well as the game. I think most games with correct a double input error on the users end and some mice are really sensitive.

My go-to settings in most shooters are:
Left click - shoot
Right click - zoom
Top left button - throw grenade
Bottom left button - melee

These last two are crucial for me, then I try different things according to each game.
As for Infinite:
Upscroll - use equipment
Downscroll - ping
Scroll click - I don’t use it here

Then, keybindings are mostly the same, except for:
Q - Switch weapons
Z - Switch grenades
