So I own the xbox version and all the DLC. I purchased my game through a store though so I didn’t receive the play anywhere version. If I purchase the microsoft store version for PC will I need to rebuy all the DLC or do I just need to buy the game and log in with the same xbox live account? Cheers guys.
Well the game shouldn’t be tied to your account because you got the physical copy right?
The dlc you can only get online and you should have gotten a code for it right? Then would have had to download it. Now I’m not 100% sure but it should transfer over.
The only exception is if the dlc is on disc, then it wouldn’t be tied to your account at all.
Of course I’d wait for someone that has a more definite answer.

Simplicity it might help if you can’t get an answer here is too content customer support/ their twitter page and inquire about it there, you might get a more concrete answer their. But I’d also ask others because customer support doesn’t always 100% understand what is being asked about and can get it wrong.
Either way once you have to game make sure you download them first, and check your microsoft account on pc. (infact you might be able to go under you pc without even owning the game and try downloading the leaders to see if you own them already)

If you bought the game as a physical copy then the game itself is not under the Play Anywhere program. Now the DLC is digital so you should only have to buy the game on your computer and your dlc should carry over.
How do I know? I bought Forza Horizon 3 around march of this year and I purchased the hotwheels DLC back in august. And the DLC is able to be downloaded to my pc without having to pay for the dlc,.
So in short.
- Only Digital games are Play anywhere.
- DLC is digital so its automatically play anywhere.
