So when I purchase Halo 4, I get disc 1 and then I have to download disc 2 off of disc 1? Does it cost extra?
You have to install both of them. Trough one disk, you will have acess to all halo 4 features! if that is your question.
Halo 4 comes with two disc.
Disc 1 - Campaign
Disc 2 - War Games, Spartan Ops, Forge & Theater
Disc 2 behaves just like the Halo 2 Multiplayer Map Pack disc, a required install.
If you don’t install disc two, you will get load failures when trying to go on multiplayer.
Everything runs from disc one.
no u get 2 disk disk 1 will be the main disk. you can use disk 2 and install it so you never need to switch between the disk but if you have no space you need to insert disk 2 for multiplayer. Also you can just boot up disk 1 and download disk 2 from the marketplace

So we don’t have to switch between them, have you ever installed a game to your harddrive? It lets you play the content without the disc running, in this case you’ll be using Disc 1 once you install Disk 2.
