Would it be possible, while being very realistic, for 343 to be able to work on the engine they used for Halo 5, then port that over to The Master Chief Collection in order to allow a version of the campaign that could be played split-screen?
I’m not sure how that stuff works, but I thought about that the other day, and would actually be really awesome.
The reason ther is not split screen in Halo 5 is because it would lower the fram rate and graphics, and they didn’t want to do that.
At least thats what they told us.

Yes, and Halo 5 would still have that. MCC is already a clusterpluck, so why not Halo 5 with lower frame-rates?
I’m not sure if thats the total reasoning, thats just what i remember them saying.
What does porting it to the MCC have to do with it anyway?
They have said that it’s not possible to just patch Split-screen into the game, because of the engine it runs on. Porting it like this, could possibly allow for 343 to do a bit of reworking on that engine, and allowing for two ways to play that game. One with lower-quality split-screen campaign, and the higher quality online multiplayer beast.
I’m not quite sure thats how it works.
All the games in the MCC are running on their own engine, not a shared one.
I doupt its just as simple as moving the game to a previous engine, and that would arguable take up more time and resources that adding the split screen in.

Not happening and really, not much more will happen with TMCC at all. What you see in TMCC is what you get. I cant even remember the last update for that game. Their main focus will be on H5 for at least another 6 months to a year. After that the focus will start switching more toward H6.

that’s true!! I am not good not to share my 90" Projector Screen. =)
we all need to evolved!!
There’s a splitscreen thread kicking around you can use but no, that’s not possible.
