Question regarding game play affecting REQ

Hello friends!

Been reading about the new REQ system and one thing about it made me worry a little bit. I understand that war zone will be pretty crazy and large scale and that’s totally fine with me. But on the more ‘serious modes’ will the REQ affect gameplay?

Tl:Dr = will the people with crazy REQ have an advantage gameplay wise?

You didn’t need a TL;DR man
REQs could change gameplay, but like older games, it’s easy to kill enemies and take there weapons. And I heard you should be paired with other with the same REQ playing field.

Not really, no.
REQ cards that impact gameplay aren’t usable at all in arena, and in Warzone, teams will be balanced based on REQ card levels.
I assume each REQ card will be assigned a numerical value based on perceived “power level”, thus every players REQ card inventory will be worth a certain total amount of points. Total inventory values for each team will be balanced out during team creation.

The only items usable in Arena are the armor your wearing, the paintjob you slap on your starting weapons, the emblem you identify yourself with, and the way you choose to dispatch the unwary (assassinations)

In short, no, in the ‘serious modes’ the REQ system only allows cosmetic changes, not gameplay ones.

So while I may have an awesome scoped AR for Warzone (Best Buy preorder instant unlock) I will not be able to use said Assault Rifle in any Arena game-type, or even BTB.

Oh wow. Thank you all for the fast reply!

  1. ooppys I was worried it was be too long of a description so I was worried no one would reply. I overlooked the aspect of the REQ affecting the matchmaking so that’s good to know.

  2. Truth. That word was key and helped alot. The difference between ‘warzone’ and ‘arena’ helps to clarify this in a nutshell

  3. Myth. This really helped hit the nail on the head and thank you. I’m excited to get a balanced MP game and was suddenly gripped with concern that it would be affected by REQ so thanks for helping with that!

Here this video will help and its funny.
