Okay, so apparently i was on probation still from yesterday from getting leaving (or rather in this case booted/disconnected) got the 10 minute ban. Okay i understand that part,
woke up today after not playing Halo Reach for more than 12 hours and got disconnected from ONE game and i still get the 10 minute ban.
How long is the probation supposed to last. and why can’t the system differentiate from disconnects?
Doesn’t make any difference. If you disconnect, it’s a quit.
An unintentional one, but still a quit. Disconnecting has the same effect on your team as quitting.
Alright, so how long is a player on Probation from leaving games?
I don’t have an exact figure for you buddy, but I’ve been on probation for the past 3 days for the quit ban.
That seems pretty severe, i understand wanting to punish quitters, but damn most of my “quits” have been due to disconnects…hmm well i guess the system can’t be perfect.
If possible, do try to upgrade your service because if you are getting a bunch of disconnects, then something is wrong.
Chances are you paying more money than the service is actually worth. You shouldn’t be disconnecting often to the point you get the temp ban. The ban hammer does not discriminate.
Also to note the more you get banned, the longer the length will be.
I had that a while ago if you quit to many games one day it takes you out of the matchmaking for the 10 minutes as normal but if you quit another game like a few days later and get disconnected, quit, or booted it takes you out of matchmaking for another 10 minutes. It goes away if you don’t quit a single a for a week or two it might go away for me it took a month for it to go away. This helps keep people either in a match for the whole time and earn the most possible credits you can get for that match or not in a match at all.
