Well Cortana’s distress beacon should still be functioning, so that will bring them to the ship regardless of if it crashed or not, bringing weapons with them.

Guess you didn’t notice the fact Chief has the hangar bay which is loaded with vehicles and possibly (very possibly) weapon crates…

That works both ways. There’s a 50:50 chance that it was in the chief’s half. Also, there’s bound to be weapon caches in numerous places on the ship. Don’t keep all your eggs in one basket.
On another note, my theory is that Spark will bring the hijacked Infinity*, full of UNSC weapons and personnel (Spartan IVs), to the Chief.*
It could be possible that Chief was in slip-space the whole time and somehow broke out in orbit of this strange world that could be in Human territory. Don’t hate, it’s just a theory.
well if spartan IV’s are on this forerunner planet they must have used a ship to get there and that ship would have lots of weapons and ammo
