So my niece gave me this code she had in her mcc game and she says it is for a 2 day Xbox live trial but when I used it, it immediately started downloading the mcc game itself. I have no idea why it’s downloading the game as well as the 2 day live. Anyone help me out here? Will I be able to play mcc after the 2 day trial since its downloading the game itself to my system?

hunmnm… Did she bought a Halo TMCC XBOX One Bundle ?
You sure it downloaded the whole game ? not just some extra stuff like a Skull.
Because with i just bought a 12 mouth pre-paid code and it came with a Halo TMCC Feather Skull…
Maybe the code she gave you is a digital code of the game that came with the XBOX One bundle with Halo TMCC.
Which include a 2 days trial code too… i think…
Either she gave you the wrong code or the 2 days trials was included with the TMCC game code.
If the code you redeemed with your account, actually downloaded the whole game on HDD, Yes you will be able to play it online and offline.
If you want to continue playing online you will need to get a Gold Subscription.
Well it said 2 day gold trial for masterchief collection. Then it started downloading the game…only reason I think that is because it has been taking forever (37% and has been downloading since 11am EST.) apps 4 hours. I purchased the H5 console and got it home and wanted to use the 2 day trial my niece gave me before I used the 14 day included. Once I entered the code and accepted it, it started downloading the game.
I should also add that she has a physical copy of the game. She did get the master chief collection console bundle

You had it and it was downloading ? but it was stuck a 37% ?
Then started again ? That’s normal…/
Sometimes game stops downloading and go on Pause and you have to start them manually again. (updates too)

This have no connection to no having Gold or not… if you buy a game or have a code you can redem them and download them without Gold.
When you redeemed your code for some reason it just started you download again.
I didn’t have gold…I redeemed a code for a 2 day gold trial which was given to me by my niece (whom bought the mcc Xbox one bundle and it was in there and she has a physical disc). It is currently at 45% downloaded (under games and it says mcc and the percentage installing). My nephew used my internet to download his NBA 2K16 game and it took about an hour. Which is why I’m lead to believe that this is downloading the entire mcc game because it has been downloading for about 6.5 hours now…just moving slow as sin!!

I updated my console prior to redeeming any codes.
Oh so you niece account is on your console or your paying on her console… ?
Anyway… As soon as you connect to XBL with the game installed on your HDD it will update automatically unless you turned it off in the console/account options.
Once your are connected there is a huge (Content Updates) patches for Halo TMCC LOL…
If you didn’t know that you must be new to Halo TMCC…

I think the update is around 20+GB… it’s all normal…
No it’s my console…my profile. It has downloaded 38 gb so far over 8 hours. The content report says the game itself is 45 gb with a 20 gb patch
