this is one simple question im just wondering will halo 3 will get a remake like halo 2 along with new terminals about the giant bird-like forerunner backstory.

Though it does beg the question… In a few years, when it’s Halo 3’s 10 year anniv, will fans have the audacity to ask for an HD remake of that as well?
There is no need to at this point. It’s a waste of time an money. It looks good just as it is. They have stated that with the 1080p resolution it brings out more detail. I don’t see one for the foreseeable future either just because of how it looks currently. Maybe when everything is much more advanced, but I don’t see if likely happening anytime soon.
I 100% doubt we’re getting anymore anniversaries. MCC will be the last. Halo 3 doesn’t need a graphical overhaul. I feel they’ve milked Bungie’s original trilogy enough. I’m eternally thankful for MCC, but they should move forward now.
Could be as DLC, I’d gladly pay $8 for 4 of Halo 3’s maps to be “re-imagined”.

1.) We will have Halo 3 on this console already. One and two were xbox releases so it’s okay to put HCEA on X360 and H2A on the XOne.
2.) If you go to H3… at what point do you stop? Bungie’s original trilogy? What about their “swan song” Halo Reach? Then what about the start of the new saga H4?
I think we should wait for Halo to end and then release a collection of the series later. Like what happened to TES. (minus that isn’t ending)
No. BUT I hope Certain Affinity and 343 support the Halo2A engine and continue to remaster maps. When it is the Halo 3 10th anniversary, all they need to to is remaster some Halo 3 maps into the Halo 2A engine and just add more to the sandbox.
Hopefully we get a dlc to the MCC and it is 6 remastered halo 3 maps… Other than that, it is unlikely
I assume you mean in a few years right? I hope not, I think this collection is the perfect way to end the whole remaking of Halo games. I would rather they focus on new halo games like H5 and a halo wars 2, and most importantly a halo game focusing on the elites and seeing the game through thier perspective where the humans are the bad guys and Chief would like be this “demon” that they are worried about.
Nope. Halo 3 will be on the Xbox One with fully playable multiplayer and a brand new population boost. There would be literally no need for it.

I think H3 looks fine and my opinion is that it would be enough to stop at two.
Also didn’t 343 Industries themselves say they don’t plan on making an Anniversary edition for 2017?
The only games that needed remaking were the two on the original Xbox. Yeah, Halo 3 is showing its age, but it’s still gorgeous and plays wonderfully.
