in halo 5 do you guys want Sarah palmer replace?

I think I’d be even more peeved if they brought back Johnson canonically. He was pretty much blown to bits when the world he was on crumbled. I would however, appreciate a future easter egg that features him in some way, giving a little shout-out to his fans.
They’re creating a whole game and writing a comic series for her. I think she’ll have something to do with Halo 5…
No. If she gets replaced that will lessen the odds of us getting to punch her in the face.
She’s not going to get replaced because she’s a pawn, nothing more. She’s not inspiring, she’s not constantly in the action fighting side by side with her fellow Spartans, and she’s a terrible leader. ONI has their pawn as the Commander of the Spartan IV’s, if they wanted a real leader than GSGT Buck would’ve been it.
I don’t see her character being the person to listen and accept logic, she’s too short-sighted, ignorant, and gung-ho to go against corrupt ONI. Odds are that she’ll die, or at least I hope.

Rather have a ton of stuff about Thorne…but whatever.

Bring back Johnson!!! I know it won’t happen, but he was my favorite character in pretty much any game. He had so much more personality than Palmer did. And he was actually funny.
Most unlikable, poorly written character to date. That is, excluding Noble Team, because it’s not fair to compare anything to Noble Team.
I would not be sad to see her get a plasma grenade to the face.
I want her back in Halo 5. I like her, and I want to see her character explained better (which I’m assuming is what Halo Initiation and Spartan Assault are mainly for).
And besides, I’d rather bring back a dislikeable character than have another likeable character. I like seeing that people hate her. Instead of being the billionth character being liked. Spices up the likeness/hateness. Makes the universe more expansive in characters.
> And besides, I’d rather bring back a dislikeable character than have another likeable character.
Rather have a character I’d hate to dislike. Someone like the Master Builder. He is a really bad dude, but he just has a certain style and cunning that make me NOT want to hate him.
Palmer is just a mean girl in power armor. Whoopie.

I see your point on what you’d rather have. Makes sense.
Palmer is too important now to be replaced. She has her own game (Spartan Assault), her own graphic novel (Initiation), plus she was in Halo 4. We will be seeing her a lot.

I say she just gets stabbed by a camo elite.
Palmer is just the most droll character int he halo series, just a big GIRL POWER YAY for the sheer sake of it.
Strong females like Halsey, cortana, or linda/kelly should be a focus. Not some lame wannabe who cant even respect the MC.
I don’t think she should be replaced, but I wouldn’t be disappointed if the supposed War Sphinx from the teaser stepped on her, multiple times.

Theoretically there was a Johnson easter egg in Halo 4.
Whichever mission it is that you fly the pelican there’s an easter egg. Kill every marine/spartan in the room, even those who continue to spawn. After a while there should be less and less of them. Take care not to kill every single one when it gets here.
Make sure you inspect every marine before killing them once they stop spawning. Eventually, the last person to spawn will be a black Sergeant with a shotgun, which could be a Johnson egg.
OT: As much as I love Johnson, he’s dead. He got pushed off of a balcony into a gigantic laser and then the entire station blew up.
Let’s leave him dead, but give references to him as we go along. As for palmer, I’d love to see her replaced by someone more likable, and an introduction to a more evil/caniving character.
-Smartass joke towards the freaking Hero of humanity, who she isn’t acquaintance with in the first place.
-Calls critical scientist personnel “Eggheads”.
-Lacks leadership skills.
-Shoots old lady instead of enemy General.
Yeah, nope.
No amount of background is going to save her because THIS^^^ is the result of that story. She is a long way to redeem herself on the eyes of the fans. All that matters is how she is going to act NOW, not the past.
While we are at it, give me Kelly, give me Linda.

The Flood then? They’re much more likeable.
Okay… Obviously Sarah Palmer will be a character in Halo 5, but I would like to see her character development make her seem more as a pawn to ONI and less of a pathetic excuse to a copy/paste Female Johnson Reboot.
343 tried to make her likable in Halo 4/Spartan Ops… But they failed. Now the only hope for her is to put her on the antigonist side of the equation, just a mere tool for the Office of Naval Intellegence.
Halo 5 is supposed to be a darker title, but making her die would do the exact opposite. That would give Halo 5 a happy ending…
Make her more likable and it will be ok (even though I’ll never forgive her for shooting Halsey), but I’d prefer development for Thorne

What if it happens right when the game starts? Then it can get progressively darker.
