Is it considered boosting if I change my time zone on my Xbox to complete this? I am almost NEVER online at 12AM EST.
Not really. I did it. Pretty sure Geoff and Gavin from Achievement Hunter did it as well.
As long as you didn’t mod the achievement you should be fine.

In Mission 2 of the Campaign, achieve air in the Warthog at Midnight. It literally means you have to jump in a Warthog at 12:00AM whatever your time zone is.

Nope, go ahead. Just be sure to play offline because being connected to Xbox LIVE will automatically set your time.
I just unlocked the achievement by doing it at the right time though.

I do have another question about the achievement where you have to carry a UNSC weapon through the whole level on Heroic. Does this mean you can carry a UNSC weapon as your secondary but never use it? Or does it have to be a UNSC primary for the whole level?
It can be your secondary. Just be careful towards the end if you do it co-op. You’ll spawn with prom. Weapons after you die
I would say that it is almost encouraged to do it by this method

You start off with 2 UNSC weapons in this mission. You are allowed to use these weapons, but you MUST carry one of them to the very end of the mission. Be careful not to switch that one weapon for something on the floor.
Its easiest to do the UNSC one with a friend.One that is decent of course since i believe it has to be done on Heroic or harder.The midnight launch just setup by a ramp before 12am and watch your dashboard, when its exactly 12am jump it.Its pretty easy if you don’t have a bed time haha.No need to fiddle with the xbox settings.

If you’re gonna do the UNSC one co-op, try not to die as you’ll spawn with Promethean weapons which may prevent you from getting the achievement.

Just do it legit, there’s no reason not to and it’s all the more satisfying.
Well the reason would be that I’m rarely on XBL at midnight, but I will stay up until midnight tonight to do this achievement.
As for the UNSC weapon achievement… I am going to do it solo.
