I thought only the UR-Didact was left though, even the Librarian knew it. Its why she treated Born-Steller the way she did
The reason for the blue and orange Prometheans is simple. Frankie said they start out as automated defense AIs and then switch to something more controlled and aggressive. Hence the change from blue to orange.
I could be wrong, but it makes more sense than two factions of Prometheans who both attack the Chief and Covenant and then one faction decides to help the Covenant.
what interview was that in? because the one o GTTV he said there were also blue and orange buildings. Kinda making it sound like different factions. And if you look at the Blue and Orange Knight faces they look different

Or the buildings just change to reflect the change from automated defense to controlled. And where is the difference in the faces? Blue Skull and Orange Skull.
Not change in the skull but the face armour. Blue appeared to have lines going through it while orange had more of a sharp smooth look
There are different ranks of Promethean, thus the difference in facial armor. Doesn’t this look like the standard Prometheans even though it’s blue?
So after the artificial sun is taken out then The prometheans go into a hyper defensive mode?

Other way around. The original Didact is the Ur-Didact while Bornstellar is simply referred to as the Didact.
Ur means original/primitive.

It is possible and highly likely that there are two Didacts, the original (Ur)Didact and the Bornstellar-Didact.
The Different coloured knights are not related to this. We see the Chief/IVs fighting both types. It seems that the colour is related to day/night, not factions.
The Composer is what turned the organic Forerunner Prometheans into the autonomous combat AI Knights in-game.

Yes but what about the buildings? Frankie, on GTTV, also said you discover that there are orange and blue buildings in one of the videos (can’t remember which).
