If you have a mic, I am assuming you also have a headset. If this is true, is there a purpose to also having the sound on your TV maxed up?? Ive played several games today where I actually can’t even hear my own game sound because my teammates volume is so loud that I am hearing THEIR announcer voice and gunshots the whole time. Ironically, the only thing i DONT hear from those players is any callouts from them.
Am I missing a reason someone would have a mic but also require super loud game sound from their TV/Monitor?

lol, I honestly don’t know why people do that. It gets annoying but these and the kinect partiers are the only people I mute on Xbox.

2 reasons really.
1: Id rather they give useful game input than mute them
2: I have a feeling there are a lot of people out there that are doing this and might not even realize it. maybe either they have headphones and don’t realize they have a mic, or they don’t realize how loud their game sound is to other people. these are the people I’m really trying to target here.

Useful game input?
The only “useful” game input I’ve ever received is, “FFFFFING SHOTTY IS BROKENNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!11!1!1!!1!.”
Props to you, though. I can’t stick up with people blowing, screeching, and crying into their microphones as they attempt to take on the entirety enemy team using only a Prophet’s Bane, and inevitably fail.

If you mute people they can still hear you so you can still do callouts.

the times that i find a teammate or two that have mics and communicate clearly through matchmaking makes it worth it i think. hopefully even if i don’t hear any callouts people will use mine to help us win. But i do wish more fire teams would toggle out of party chat into game chat before matches to at least see if they have any useful teammate communication occasionally.

Yeah I’m guilty of that sometimes. But if my TV is already turned up then I put my headset on, it’s tough for me to tell. As soon as someone tells me my TV is loud as -Yoink- I turn it down and I can hear myself think again.

Best way to solve this, Plug in your mic & tell them to turn down their Tv or turn off their Music. Trust me it works for me…just leading into a argument…

Yup and they will say some random crap that doesn’t make sense
