My blue team just lost a Raid on Apex 7 Warzone game TERRIBLY. But part of why we couldn’t get any upper ground is that a few people were basically being really cheap. They were using a combination of: the grav-lift near the West Armory, thruster packs, and ground-pound to get into the sniper nest connected to the blue base. So we couldn’t even get out through that entrance/exit.
They just camped there with shotguns and waited for any of my teammates unlucky enough to walk up there without knowing they were there. I tried using a shotgun myself with camo… I tried using a plasma caster… fuel rod… shotgun… but to no avail. All the front entrances were blocked off as well, so I couldn’t go around.
Not that I don’t approve of using certain tactics to your advantages, it’s just annoying that we were not given any means to go secure another location, simply because they used an exploit to trap us when it is designed otherwise.
I can see that it is possible to get up to EACH sniper nest. I realize that it isn’t against Halo’s rules. It IS against Xbox Live’s Code of Conduct. It lists specifically under “Don’t cheat or tamper. For example, don’t: Exploit game vulnerabilities or glitches.” Is this not a vulnerability within the game to gain the upper hand when it isn’t supposed to be used as such? Why is it that people have to use exploits to win, instead of using true skill. People have to get the right angle on everything and camp it out until it becomes a second home to them. And why is it that the Halo community promotes this behavior, rather than pushing towards an ethical, kind of playing community? I know how to get into both sniper nests, how to cap the armory early in Assault, and other such exploits, but I don’t use them. And yet everyone is telling me I’m in the wrong?
Report them? For using teamwork?
Sounds legit.
No?
Sadly being cheap and using exploits is not against the rules.
Absolutely. Report them for finding something new that I will now go try for myself. Thank you sir

Grow up. This thread is a sad use of 1’s and 0’s.

Nope. All’s fair in love and Warzone.
Thanks for the humor and responses guys. I guess I needed that, as today has just made me salty. I think there should be things to keep them out of the snipers nest and using that exploit, but spawn-trapping is also an issue here, as they didn’t even try to go for the core. They were just in it for the kills. Not ban-able, but maybe unethical.
And I’m not saying their teamwork was bad. It was spot-on, as they were able to capture both armories right off the bat. Congrats to them.
Being cheap in Halo 5 is the new cool…I guess.
You can literally jump into both snipers nests from the ground, so the way they were getting in was damn overcomplicated. Its not an exploit. I do it all the time. I see my team capping the third base and I activate advanced sensors, silenced br, a fuel rod gun, invis if I can afford it, and sneak into the core and trash the place single handedly.
I bathe in my enemies tears.
My God, that salty title edit. Can we sticky this?
No. You got rekt OP.
That title is mature…
You can’t report people for using trick jumps, and I’d hardly consider trick jumps to be “exploits” in the same way glitching through a wall is.
Nothing they did makes them impossible to defeat. You could’ve naded the room, or thrust in and shotgunned them before they could shotgun you, or simply rush them with a small squad…plenty of ways for you to legitimately take them out.
Its not an exploit. Calm your saltyness.

I second that notion lol.
You can literally just jump up there from the rocks, it isn’t an exploit.
You can also go around, because Raid on Apex 7 is a figure 8 shaped map.

Using exploits is against the Xbox live Code of Conduct but unfortunately I don’t think that counts as an exploit. Thats just being cheap and cruel.
its still not as bad as people that capture the armory early in warzone assault

I’m confused, you were blue team and they were camping out in red base sniper nest. How were they trapping you? Bases also have three doors to go through.
