I love vehicles. Bottom line. So my first choice for Specialization will be Operator. Now what I find odd is it says that the bonus of using this is:
The Wheelman armor mod the Operator carries gives you a bit of a resistance against EMP shots against a vehicle you are driving. It won’t necessarily stop you in your tracks anymore. This also allows you to recharge the health of a vehicle slightly faster.
Vehicle health recharges faster. So does vehicle health recharge currently? Cause I have not seen this as of yet. Can someone confirm?
This is an ‘educated’ guess here.
Have you noticed how when a vehicle starts taking major damage, it starts ‘beeping’ if its a warthog, and so on, then the beeping slows down after it is no longer taking any damage.
I think that similar to Reach’s health system where if it under a certain level your health would recharge (say you’d take two bars of damage then it’d recharge to full health in a few seconds). That is you’re vehicle will regain a small amount of health, and with the operator mod on, it’d regain it faster.
Hope you get what I’m trying to say here!
Basically, vehicles have shields that you can’t see. When the shields are down, you start taking permanent damage. Get the vehicle into cover and the unseen shield will recharge meaning that the enemy will have to take it down again before they do any more permanent damage.
As the poster above said, vehicles have shields. When they’re depleted, the vehicle will start loosing health.
However, over time your vehicle’s health can regenerate.
On Ragnarok I was using the Mantis for a push during CTF and it got caught on fire. I retreated to my base and defended the flag while still inside the Mantis. After a little while (a minute or two with no one firing at me at all) my Mantis was pretty much undamaged.
So yeah, if you want your vehicle’s health to regenerate, just make sure your shield doesn’t deplete for a little bit.
