Question about unlocking Master Chief's armor

Hello all, I have a noob question. I want to unlock Chief’s armor by finishing the game on legendary. However I want to turn on the Grunt Birthday party skull to mix things up a bit. My question is will turning on skulls stop me from unlocking the armor even though I am playing it on legendary?

None of the 13 skulls will affect you unlocking the armour or commendation.

Note: you have to be on live!
