question about the symbol in halo 4 trailer

i was thinking about something at the end of the halo 4 trailer it is the didact’s symbol before it turns upside down indicating another being, but i want to know why 343 has made it where the body of the symbol is attached to the border, shouldnt both the didact and the inverted symbol look this

http://fc03.deviantart.net/fs71/i/2012/158/8/5/didact___symbols_by_lopez_the_heavy-d52m5ja.png

and not

so i was thinking maybe its just 343’s new design for the symbol but i then thought that kinda wouldnt make sense as in the 10th terminal in halo cea 343 used original style of the didact symbol,

if the style of the symbol in the trailer is 343 new take and design on the didact and maybe other forerunner symbols woldnt they use it halo cea as well

this is just for talk sake im not nit picking in any way, just something ive thought about

For a specific reason that we will likely find out during the game.
There are two Didact as well.

The symbol from the trailer is indeed a variation of the Didact’s symbol. It’s flipping represents the Didact’s “Unbound” state, according to Frankie. What all this means likely won’t be known until the game releases. However, as erickyboo pointed out, there are actually 2 Didacts, so I’m sure this will feed into the different symbols and the actual meaning of the unbound state.

we will find out who the inverted didact symbol belongs to but i doubt well find out why its a different style from the usual forerunner symbol.
